Hi ya'll! Thanks for hosting, Jean!

I did Shadow on Saturday. I have had German Shepards and Shadow's face just stole my heart. There was no way I could do Shadow in pink.... well, maybe later. :D (Jean, if you will pm me your address, this one will be popped in the mail to you.)

5" x 7" Watercolor on 240 lb. cold press - 40 minutes.

I started on this one Saturday and finished it up this morning. It's 8" x 8" all watercolor on 240 lb cold press. It took 2.5 hours.

Here's the 2 hour shot...

I had such a good time painting this. I was trying to keep it simple, but got a little too fussy. NO sharpies were used (I know!... gasp!) in the making of this painting. However did I restrain myself?

If DH will sleep a bit longer or nap later, I plan to do more. Wish me luck! :D

Is he still sleeping Beth? - shhhhhh ..........

These are really lovely - those eyes of Shadow's are gorgeous - heart-melting (bet Jean sheds a few tears this week!)
I like the sharpie-less w/c too - different, but atill 'Beth':D

Fun NYC painting!!! Good girl to restrain from the sharpie LOL. I was explaining the many uses of ink and outline to my class last week and was using you as one of the examples (verbally) and how good you are at the sharpie...they all wanted to see what you do so I may have to send them to your blog or site??? Let me know if that's ok or not and if so where to send them to look.
The SHADOW crop is gorgeous!!! Such a sweet face. Nicely done, Beth!!

Thanks, Maureen! By the way... he's awake, but I see a nap coming later, since he doesn't feel very good today. :)

Love both of these Beth, but Shadow's eyes stole my heart. Had a Collie named Shadow when I was a kid.

Shadow is gorgeous. Do your fingers tingle from refraining from using Sharpie? :)

Shadow's portrait is gorgeous Beth! I've only got mine sketched out and will try to get back to it today. She's such a beautiful dog.

Thanks so much for your comments, and yes EP.... fingers were tingling and twitching.... so....

I got the sharpie out. :D

This is the building in that Wales river scene. The resolution was so good that I could actually see what looked like a printer in that bay window.

It's 4" x 6" - 1 hr and 35 min. Watercolor and Sharpie on 140 lb cold press.

The New York scene is stunning. Shadow's facial expression is so endearing, but the Welsh is my favorite. I love the colors and the subdued tilies on the building. Great bunch of colorful paintings, Beth!

Well I can't decide which is my favorite. I think all of them. I do wonder about a "Whiskey transfer". I know some people that do a Whiskey transfer, but I don't think that is what you mean.
