i think this is wonderful, i'm not an oil painter, but i think this is a wonderful piece, from the detail to the play of light and shadow along the wall.
his placement and looking out of the painting as i understand it is breaking the rules, and i love it.
i'm drawn immedietly to the color and then find his face. he is searching, looking for something i can't see, so i want to study him more closely to get to know him better.
i'd like to talk to him.
