by the water.
:D
i think this is wonderful, i'm not an oil painter, but i think this is a wonderful piece, from the detail to the play of light and shadow along the wall.

his placement and looking out of the painting as i understand it is breaking the rules, and i love it.
i'm drawn immedietly to the color and then find his face. he is searching, looking for something i can't see, so i want to study him more closely to get to know him better.
i'd like to talk to him.

thanks for sharing this,

steve

Very, very nice.

No.... beautiful.

Is this your brother?

Seems you are finding a lot of inspiration where you are.

the curved land form and the sweater connect and look out over the sea like a man

Steve, yes the "rules" have been slightly broken:)

Sophie, Jerry, Jim, Cathleen thanks.

Gavin this man's wife commissioned the painting for his 70th birthday. He is standing in the place he most likes to be.
