Good Morning Friends..........
This is a painting very loosly based on a picture I had of Mt Rainier........with a great deal of artistic license added ....lol........(couldn't follow a foto if I had to.......)

Was fun to do...........It's on Arches 140 lb with WN paints and is half sheet.......

Hi, Al. This is a keeper. I love the lush colors in the foreground in contrast with the high key mountain and sky.

Molly's lucky.

Hi Al,

Lucky Molly to have such a beautiful meadow to live in and such majestic scenery to look at.

I really like the composition and colors and how you painted this one. Wonderful combination.

Hello Al,

Wow, I like this one very much - maybe best of all I've seen you do. The field is a wonder and the trees are so nicely rendered without getting lost on details. The tallest peak is a bit too central for my tastes, but other than that I just love it! Thanks for sharing, jti

Beautiful! I love the colors you used in the foreground. Not too much and not too little color! I also like the way you did some of the trees in the background with some violet.

I don't post my opinion very often, cause I'm still pretty new at all this, but I know what I like and I LIKE THIS ONE! One of my favorites of yours. The contrast between the meadow and mountain are spectacular!!! Keep 'em coming!!!

This has to be my favorite of all the paintings you have posted lately... the colors play beautifully and I like the way you rendered your trees.

The foreground really suggests that there's a variety of flora.

Well done!:D

Very nice, Al - my kind of scene. Perhaps the foreground could have been a litle lighter - maybe the scan?

Wonderful!! Just wonderful!! I am particularly impressed with your tree lines and how the contrast of foreground and background creates a sense of great distance.

Al, if you wander into this thread again, could you tell me if you work bit by bit on your paintings or you treat them as a whole and work towards completion as a unit? The answer will tell me what I need to know, will you tell please ?

:)

Beautiful! I could look at this all day! This is the kind of painting I'd love to hang on the wall and pretend it was a window. I'd love to have Molly's meadow outside my door.

Hi Doug......bit lighter in RL but I did get it a tad too dark.......on the left side.....thanks.....
Thanks, Bob

ale.l.......... on this one I worked on the foreground for a while, then while that was drying a bit turned the paper upside down and did sky........then back to do the trees and lastly some dry brush work for the snowy mountain area......so I guess you could say ....all over the place...all pretty wet in wet except for the mountain area.......

KL......thanks.......wouldn't that be a neat window......... thanks...
