It's always interesting to see what you'll come up with in your (enviable) loose style! I have a couple of minor nits... I have to qualify, firstly, that I'm viewing this from a laptop. The screen resolution is yucky... The line across the top third... Is that your sky? I almost think it looks like a distant shore with a small set of hills/mountains... I would like to see your foreground a little darker to add dimension the the entire vista...

Nice I 'm working on a light house now will post it shortly (lighthouse, Portland). I have a seies of Lighthouses I have to do and yours gave me a few ideas. I like the roof lines on the houses. Is the distant line below below the skyline the shoreline?, if so should it be a straight horizontal ine ?

Ahhhhh Jim so nice this one. I like this most because it is a light house I took shots of and never painted at sandy hook. I recognised it right away tho. Your architecture is tru to form ... nice job!!!

Imagine my surprise at seeing the Sandy Hook lighthouse! You have a very nice, loose spontaneous style Artman. And yes, I assure you all that the line you are questioning is the sky. The lighthouse is so far away from the water that it would never get into the picture.
(I have a half sheet of this lighthouse that I started last summer, but haven't finished yet. The story of my life!. I will try to remember to post it if it ever gets finished.)
Artman, If you really want it to look like Sandy Hook light, it would help if you made half of that shadow on the lighthouse into a third, darker section on the right. The lighthouse is actually a hexagon, or maybe even an octogon shape.
Your foreground and trees frame it well and provide a pretty setting. You should try more lighthouses. Nice painting!

Nice painting. Love the loose style you paint in, especially your trees - simple but effective.

This is another nice one. My suggestion is to crop the lower third portion. It's empty space and takes away from the picture.

Thankyou Sylvielu for the Suggestion...
Very nice ... you just keep getting better and better.
