MY COMMENTS:
I was impressed by this woman holding a boy in a picture I saw in a magazine. I focused only on the boy and woman and I wanted to try to get the woman's coloring lighter but I feel I ruined the whole picture because she came out too dark. I am afraid I just don't know how to glaze correctly.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
How Could I have helped this painting and the coloring of the woman?

I think the boy came out nicely as I can really feel his mood.
The skintones of the lady probably have too much brown in them (burnt umber, sienna?) and the yellow and greens are too bright, should be toned down (blond hair has a variety of colors in it's strands). The boys hair and face have a painterly quality which is nice to see:)

the faces are unusual and interesting
