This is a small painting I've just finished of the bigger one titled "Jiu Zhai Gou, China" which I did as a WIP sometime last year.

Size: 9.5" x 12"
Daley Rowney Artist Paint and goauche for highlights

I tried to be looser and more splashy with this one.
I repaint this one to list in eBay... just trying my luck.

Oh, Master of Trees, you've done it again! This is lovely--loose and lovely. I particularly like the touch of orangey color--it compliments the greenery of the trees so well.:D

this is wonderful, delightful!
Did you scratch out some of the whites on the brush or saved them earlier?

Thanks Lyn and ale.l

Yes, I scratched out the branches with a penknife.

I just went back and looked at the WIP of the original--and I thought it was wonderful--but I like this much looser one better!

I too like the orange splashes, and note how you've used in throughout the painting in little bits here and there..very nice! also like the orangey raw sienna? glow behind the right hand trees..very uplifting!

Beautiful Marvin Your little falls are so realistic at first I thought I was looking at reference photo but I should know better when looking at one of your paintings. I am sure this won't last long on EBay Good Luck

Wonderful as usual. I have a little problem with the almost straight line of trees in the foreground.

Hi Marvin,

I like this looser style you've used here. The little waterfall is very nice and the variety of greens in the foliage is good. I also like the touches of orange and rust scattered throughout the painting.

Your little foreground bushes cutting a diagonal across the water could use a little variation in size and height.

Other than that, I think this should do well on e-Bay. You've picked a good size too. I think the smaller size when you are establishing a reputation will go faster than the larger ones.

Keep us posted on how it goes. We're all rooting for you.

Another spectacular piece!

PS - I just adopted a jet black kitten and named him Marvin. Your work is such an inspiration, I always feel like painting after viewing your work! Marvin Cat inspires me to paint better. (he also distracts me because he's in that really playful kitten stage)
