What great dogs! I really like Gizzmo's pink tongue hanging out!

Hey- I like how this came together. I followed the thread on the CP forum too. You captured a good likeness with the photos. The only thing that strikes me as a little strange is that the black and white dog has the light source coming from a different direction than the other two dogs, making his face look like it is in shadows compared to the other two.

Just something to think about for future pieces maybe.

Excellent work and I am really glad to hear you are getting lots of commisions! You deserve it...your work is great!

Wow these are great! Just one question though "What Coloured Pencils are you using?" I keep meaning to buy some because the only one's I've got are Derwent and are very waxy. It's difficult to layer them.

Thanks everyone! I had a lot of fun with these but my wrist is killing me, I need to pace myself better.
Paul...I use strictly Prismacolor pencils. They are also wax-based but they are nice, thick and creamy and layer wonderfully! They are harder to get a thin, firm line with because they are soft and thick but I like the "painterly" look anyway so I love them and plan to use them forever lol. They are THE best in my personal opinion :D

edited to add...On Cocoa especially, I used a great deal of the prismacolor colorless blender. I normally don't use it much cause I like to show the fur lines but Cocoa didn't have any long fur so the colorless blender worked wonders on blending her.

This turned out really well. I really like Gizzmo's tongue. Super job on all of it.

I have the Prismacolor pencils, too, but I didn't know you could buy a colorless blender! That would make it a bit easier. You learn something new everyday!!
