After much thought I cropped the pelican picture to the candian geese. Under an hours worth of work, done when far too tired to do good but hey ho. I used my cheap watercolour sketch book to see how my fb polychromos would do on the rough side and smooth side and to see what I thought.

My thoughts are, won't be using it again for them. :lol:

I like the texture on the rough side for the interest it gives to the feathers on both of your rough side drawings. I like the 1st drawing the most.

They are great goosies! I know what you mean about the wc paper. You might like it better if you toned the paper first, say with pastel and then a go-over with brush and alcohol .

Good idea to use alcohol to smooth the geese....

Good drawings tho...sorry you didn't enjoy the paper!!
