CHINESE BLACK INK and watercolor. This is 11 x 13 including a one inch border.

I used some duocrome color but the camera can't show the changing color on a tree and bush.

I think a distant, lighter value mountain range would add some needed depth...... Good foreground.......

I think your colors are wonderful as I live in Portland OR and they are right on target. Which park is this one? Portland has so many.
Don't you hate how scans of our art never seem to do the pieces justice? I think even without being able to see the duocrome colors its a good piece.

Thanks for looking and comments. I may try to work on the distance behind the buildings for depth.

Yes, Belegwen, we found this park around where a lot of things were situated. If I recall right it is near the zoo, rose garden, Japanese garden and memorial garden. (Beaver, Oregon) comes to mind and this place sits high.

It was a truly beautiful fall day and I gasped when I saw it.

I agree...Like your colors! I would love to see the effect of the "duochrome" color. It must certainly add a very special effect!!

Sylvielu... This is a beautiful painting! I wish I could see the duochrome colours because I don't know what they are...

Thanks Surreal. I took Al22's advice and redid the distance. Here is a view:
