Have no idea where this lake is other than my mind......:rolleyes: Just trying to get back into landscapes since my workshop......this was done with alot of wet into wet style.

9" x 12" arches wcp, W/N paints
Critiques, good or bad welcome..........

Nice. Great job on the water and the reflections. I like the stick in the water too.

Hi Barbara,

Beautiful wet into wet painting. Your color palette is lovely and vibrant. You really did absorb a lot from that workshop.

I like the water and the reflections a lot, along with the rest of the elements on the composition. Very nice painting.

Lovely colors Barb and wonderful reflections too!! Great details in the grasses at each side of the path. Great painting from the 'mind' reference library :clap: :clap:

Barb this is fantastic!!! Such beautiful colors!! Looks like a nice place to be...very realistic landscape. I love the blue part of the water and the palm trees the best. :clap: :clap: :clap:

Thanks Sylvia, this is the first real landscape that I've been able to paint since the workshop. Wasn't sure if I could.......:rolleyes: it's been a while since I've did a landscape other than the little post cards......

Thanks Annetta and Patty for your kind words.......now if i could just get some of the other ref. out of my mind and on paper I would be happy......lol

Barbara... I, too, like the way you did the wet into wet... What I like best is the little touch of detail in the foreground... Beautiful landscape. :clap:

This one reminds me of the "Creature from the Black Lagoon" movie... true, it's in black and white, but if it were in color this is the color scheme the lagoon would surely have... lively and ominous at the same time

I like when people do things without reference material... keep it up!

Faafil, no it was with Terry Madden, but I have Nita Engle's book and have been reading it. and this is one of her tech.:)
