As I said in my last thread, those stallion portrait commission are keeping me busy and I am forever so thankful for that.
This one is of a stallion called Alfred Nobel. The lady who commissioned me asked specifically to have him on a background like the Yeats painting I did, a dark blue-black. Just finished today and being varnished right now for handover later this week.

16x20 inch W&N Artist Acrylic on Ambersand Pastelboard
C+C welcome as usual :)

This was a tough one to photograph. The blue isnt as vibrant and overpowering in real life, so please ignore that.

Kathrin, Beautiful portrait of Alfred Nobel, he really looks noble too. Lovely sheen to his coat and he looks so very realistic in this painting. She has to be very happy when she sees it.

I kinda like the looks of this fellow, I wonder if you knew him personally.
He looks flawless to me, beautiful markings.

Beautiful work, Kathrin.

I took the liberty of toning the blue background down a bit in Photoshop. Is this closer to the original?
