View Full Version : Stalking Tiger II Work in Progress

Amost finished my new tiger painting, just some coat adjustments, few more highlights and anything I can come up with to make him look more real LOL Been studying Jason M's ebook on how to paint wildlife. I repainted the same reference photo for more practise, plus I'm donating this to a charity auction, proceeds to benefit the rebuilding of Haiti. This is definately the best thing I've sent that project yet, I'm real happy about it

So THAT's what it feels like to almost be lunch. Very nice, and great cause. I donated a macaw painting to a raffle for the same cause. Funny thing happened and my friend won, and she has two macaws.

I'm looking forward to the finish, nervously..

thanks Barb, Online Art and Frank! I can't put him up too huge 'cause he'll look crappy;) Still having trouble getting the sides to look like anything. I study and study other paintings, but still no luck for me on that. It always looks quite simple when someone else has already done it.

Those eyes and that nose look fantastic!!! May I suggest softening the edges? I think it would look less pasted on and push back the body a bit, especially where it goes farther back. I really like the background, too.

Thanks Frank, that is the troublesome area on all of my paintings so far. I haven't sent it off yet, so I guess I could give it another go
