I heard reference before that certain brands of watercolour were not as good as others for using with egg tempera as they contain honey and this was deemed a bad thing. Why is this? Is it even true?
I don't think it could be an archival thing as watercolours are, in themselves, archival.
Honey is aseptic so I don't think mold is the issue.

I think I coldn't help you too much, but honey is used by someone insteda of glicerine,m in order to slow the drying of a wash.
