acrylic on textured masonite board.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
I had a hard time getting all of the "nuances" to show up ...but you get the idea I hope. Critiques welcomed. Palette was burnt umber, burnt sienna, cadmium red light, black.

Red is very difficult to photo, this has mystery and all the things jerry said.
How did you go about texture-ing the board?

Paintonthebrush.......yes it is hard to capture digitally! I used a texture medium (I threw the can away, but it had a woman's name on it...Schwezee or something like that)

I asked because I read where someone used pottery mix to mix in with gesso and made a very nice texture.

Diane...I had not heard of that. It would be interesting to try it though.
