I like the middle stage so far
the dark separations of the neck
chin top of bench in the last one
break up the field uncomfortably
you had it
and
will again.

Thanks Jerry.

I am stopping for now on it.
Most likley finished. Maybe slight changes,
I am not sure yet, waiting for input.
How is the dark in this one?

The white in the shirt bottom left is very glary. It's not close to this bright. More like the rest of the white in the painting.

way better
guess I got confused by the partials.
each a thing unto itself
(that is good too)

My process is a bit weird I guess. I do one thing and then I don't like it and change it back to something else until I like how it all works together.

Thanks Ceu :)

He's the son of someone who comes to the recording studio of a friend of mine where I spend lots of time.

He's a very sweet little boy, so polite and friendly and smart.

Once he came with his sister.
Maybe I will paint her too sometimes. They were sitting side by side eating burgers.
I took tons of photos.

Agree with Paintonbrush...your work is so painstakingly subtle that a close up is the only way to experience it. You bring so much to what you do.

Thanks somerset :) I am happy you like it.

------------------------

Diane I forgot before .... you asked if he had seen it. Not yet.

He comes with his father to the recording studio from time to time, I hope he'll be visiting soon.
I'll take it over to the recording studio, so if they come by I can show it to them. :)

this is beautiful Ginette, great expression.....captured it well. Like I'm sitting looking , expecting him to take another bite. I'm sure he would do if I sat here long enough......:D
