GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: pears
Year Created: 2003
Medium: Oil
Surface: Board
Dimension: 24
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
I've recently started creating some still life pieces and I am trying to depict elements a little differently. For example, this isn't the traditional fruit in a bowl.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Any comments on the overall piece, composition, technique, etc. would be appreciated

I didn't realize when I posted that only the first dimension appears.

This painting is 24" wide by 6" high. I had this leftover from a bigger board that had been cut and thought it was an interesting size to work with.

I love this.....I love working on long board....just sold a tri-rooster...I have to put it in the mail and am having a hard time letting it go...
these dancing happy pears are so appealing. what will you do with them? shadows are particularly yummy.

I think the operative principles in such a repetitious still life are variance, movement, and development of interest while maintaining the apparent sense of motif accros the line of repetition.
