MY COMMENTS:
I live on my boat in Grenada and do most of my paints on the boat. This scene is from a regatta in Grenada. I first did it in pen and ink and decided to see if a wash would be more effective.
I also submitted the negative of this painting and I thought it was very effective. I might want to paint the negative to see if I could re create the same colors, what do you think

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
color linework perspective

Hi Maryann,
First off I think you are very lucky to live on a sail boat off the coast of Grenada! I just love sailing. I don't know how long you will be living in your boat but I would record as much of your life on paper as I coul while you do...writing, painting...

This is beautiful! I love the mood from both the negative and the original. Go for it and try the negative painting and see what happens. I was always tempted to do the same. Keep them coming. I look forward to seeing more!

Very lively image--I really like it!

The negative might be an interesting painting.

Eric White, one of my favourite artists, often paints in negatives. It looks great, check him out at ewhite.com So yeah, try it out in negative, it wouldn't hurt anyone.
