Speaking of ratties, look what I found! This I did in pen & ink back in 1997. It's in a style that was inspired by Australian aboriginal art that I first started doing in 6th or 7th grade. I botched the aboriginal style completely, but in the process made a sort of spin off of it. I'm thinking of doing more animals in the "animal spirit" style. Oh, but so many projects already!

http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/16-Apr-2003/14705-sapienta.jpg

I have a special place in my heart for rats. They are terrific pets.
Hey, this could make a cool tattoo.

This is a style totally on it's own and certainly very effective. If I was into tattoos I'd have one of these but fortunately I'm not!

Thanks Christina and Paul! I had completely forgot about doing this style since I hadn't used it since I did this rattie years ago. A friend of mine reminded me about it when she requested that I do a tiger in it for her birthday. She loves this style. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out since I've learned so much since I did the rat. I hope I draw a lot better now than I did back in 1997! I'm entering Heather's tiger in the "Big Cats" project. I think I have a WIP pic up under that project, but all I have so far is the white down. Can't figure out how to incorporate those stripes with the style. I'll get it though!

http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/17-Apr-2003/14705-lioness.jpg

Here's a ceramic lioness I painted in that style probably back in 1992-3.

Hey Christina, do you think paintings in this style will sell?
