Thanks for hosting Joel!
I'm including the fruit in the spirit of the WDE, though it did not turn out like I wanted. I call it tumbling fruit since that is what it looks like. Watercolor & micron ink on wc paper, 4.5"x7" and it took 2 hours.

This next one I feel better about, it is the hound done in acrylic ink & micron pen on wc paper. It took me about 1.5 hours and it is 9"x12". My scanner cut off a little bit of the hind end.

I like your tumbling fruit but that strutting blonde dog is my favourite. I cant look at these dogs without thinking of that add from years ago where you could just see the back view of an Afghan sitting in a car and everyone it was a was a woman. Cant remember what it was selling but I remember the add.

Lovely dog looks like she's going somewhere with a purpose in mind.

I'm ready for some fruit salad, and then I'll go for a walk with your gorgeous dog!

Just love that dog, Lola. It doesn't matter that you lost a bit of the hind quarters to the scanner - in fact, it maybe even adds to it. It has such a lovely sense of movement and having space in front looks like it's just walking into the frame.

You know, I really like them both but I like the fruit even if you think it's tumbling.

Hi Lola,
Can't tell which one is my favorite. I actually love the colors and composition the first - I'm not at all bothered by it. The watermelons, papayas and other fruits are so well drawn,

The dog on the other hand is really adorable. You caught the movement so well.

Thanks for participating!
