MY COMMENTS:
Dream Island was done entirely from my imagination. Trying out the spatula knife with watercolors, wiping away and fine brush strokes.
I feel I should have put someting in the foreground, or do you think the painting is finished, as is?

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Composition, technique

Lines
04-15-2003, 03:20 PM
The faint white line showing the edge of the
water in the background, and in the centre
of the picture. Shouldn't it be nearer horizontal,
or the surface of the water show a faster flowing
water? Also do you share with me that the far bank
edge looks higher than the left hand bank?

Not trying to be negative, but trying to answer
as you request

Thank you for your comments. I paint on my boat ,most of the time it is moving. If my lines are not quite horizontal, I hadn't really noticed and also does it matter if one bank is higher than another. I see many banks here and they are different. I tried to see what you did, but I failed. Like Jerry stated, it must have been fun and it was.
