:wave:Hello Wet Canvas members! I just joined and am here on a mission -- to find answers to questions for my wife who is painting on a deadline and can't take the time away from her painting, even though she needs these answers to finish her work!

I will be searching for the answers before I post any questions (as everyone should), and have already found the answer to one question my first couple of minutes here! I've been dealing with AMIEN, who are VERY busy with so many questions and I think the more friendly environment here will be a welcome and more productive change for me. There seems to be a lot of really good information here and really great people, so I can tell I'm in the right place!

My wife had issues with three older paintings showing some adhesion challenges - one powdering off and two flaking. She has been talking to some wonderful conservators, as well as material manufacturers and has gotten some conflicting information. She is very anxious to get the correct information to affirm her actions and ensure her methods are the best for her art (longevity is VERY important to her!). These issues come at a stressful time as she works to complete a new body of work for an upcoming exhibit, so you can see she needs my help, and yours too if you can help us!

I see the photography area here is a little sparse, so I will try to be a good contributing member and share what I can (my specialty is infrared film and digital night photography, as well as photographing my wife's paintings). We are so fortunate to have this website to aid us all in the creation of our art! I'm very grateful to have found my way here and look forward to making new friends.:grouphug:

Hi and a warm welcome to the Wet Canvas Community

This is a very large site with a lot going on in the forums. Be sure to check out the subject and medium forums as well as some of the special interest forums. There is something here for every artist and all levels of expertise. All are welcome, so don’t be shy about posting or starting threads.

A good place to start your WC! experience is to read some of the articles in the links found in the signature lines of some of the mods and guides - they contain some very useful information which will help you to navigate and participate in WC!

If you have any problems, just drop back here to New Users and we’ll be happy to help.

Have fun and enjoy Wet Canvas! :)
