Fascinating, Will. Do you create this as you draw or plan it out ahead of time? Bill

Uath, I have to confess that when I first saw your posts I didn't really get them. Over time though I've grown to appreciate the creativity and style. This one is fun to look at just to find all the hidden animals. Your work will look great in the book being published. Very interesting and thought provoking.
Thanks Scott, no Scene. I draw freehand with a single pen. I start with my signature and go from there. I seldom have an absolute plan, but since I'm illustrating a book, I have to somewhat follow the story line. THese are planned more than most. Usually I have no plan at all.
For this book, I didn't read the stories ahead of time. When it waqs time to start a new drawing, I would read the story righ before I went to my studio. I promised the publisher I would try to produce three a week. I kept my promise and am almost through. We got a little stuck on the borders (He wants at least two borders for the story introductions. I'll post them later, they're where the drawings go around the edges of the page). The border dimentions are super-complicated. I messed up on the dimentions twice, and he messed up twice. I spent eight days on four borders we can't use. Oh well, these guys from the UK wanted two of them. I'm starting on another today. Then he needs a title page and I'm done.
