Hi, I'm JoyShirley, and I'm an oil painter newbie. I've had some experience with painting in a different media, but am now enjoying learning about oil painting. I look forward to exploring the site.

I forgot to mention in my introduction that I'm interested in tutorials and reference pictures, and hope to share some of my pictures in the image library soon (once I figure out how to do that).

It's a good idea to check out the Stickys & FAQ thread.

There is a link to Frequently Asked Questions in my signature line.

Also, you can check out the "Stickys" at the top of the page;
& check out the links in the Guides & Moderators signature lines.

I usually get to the forums using the drop down menu towards the
upper left of the page where it says Channels: then Choose: and when
I've chosen, I click on Go and a whole new wonderful forum opens up for you.

There is also a "Forum Jump" menu at the bottom right of the page.
