WetCanvas has kept me from having to resort to the ghastly usenet discussion groups for so long, I've almost forgotten what spam looks like.
But lately I've noticed trace amounts of spam entering WetCanvas, the most sacred of addresses on the net. At this moment, there's something about Slovenia that seems to be all over the place. And there's at least another shady post in 'Art Business'. Am I misreading these posts or are they what they appear to be... spam?
Should we set up a spam police? Citizen's arrest... that sort of thing?

Yeah, that post in Art Business seemed a little weird to me...
Not to mention that the site's claiming to be the "only" and the "first"... I mean... hellooooooo? <smirk>
Not that I would necessarily want whoever it was to do it in these forums, but, I think people offering any kind of service on the internet should not try to use "first", "only", etc as selling points. It relies on your audience having NO CLUE whatsoever, and I think it would drive off people who do know... But, that's true of anything that smells like spam -- anybody who's been on the net for a while seems to automatically react badly to things like that. At least, that's my impression.

Yes, it was spam - I've tried to clean it up. Let me know if I've missed any... http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
