Thank you, Mo, for the inspiring photos.

I did a bunch today. Don't have the scanner until hubby buys ink to make it work again. So it's all by camera.

Black ones are on Classic cachet 5x7 inch black sketchbook

Uniball Signo white gel pen

Not happy with the above, did another one.

Pastel pencils

Pastel pencils

Tried one on Pentalic 70 lb 5.5 x 8 inch sketchbook with Derivian liquid pencil. Made a mess. Covered it with colored pencils. Failed. Covered it with oil pastels. Looks awful. Covered the whole thing with Golden Fiber paste to make it look like hand made paper. Put on watercolor and it didn't come out the way I wanted it. Mopped up many parts and let it be a misty day.

Photoshopped this one.

Back to pastel pencils.

Daler Rowney Simply sketchbook 5.5 x 8 inch
Derwent Graphitint and pan pastel

Lyra Polycolor pencils
65 lb black cardstock 5x7 inch size

Wow, you have been busy. I like the playing on the horses.

Sandra, I love the way you just dig in and produce! Your process with the horses sounds familiar; been there many times.:D
My favorite is the Shambles, those buildings are alive!

wow, what a fun weekend you had! great experimenting! I really love teh misty horses, but the gossiping buildings take the prize! and is that a cobra in a fire hydrant?

Really cool work, Sandra, and way to go trying so many references. I like the first version of the horses the best ... the looseness and the newness to the reference are both wonderful.

Sandra...like your imaginative interpretations...The horse in the fog/mist works...no worries!
Also like the white gel pen effects...and i had to do a double take on that snake in the chimmney...that's very kool!

Like them all - great imagination and creative approach.

Snake in the chimney pot was a surprise, and delighted by the wonky buildings.

My goodness you have been busy, I can sympathise with the experimentation on the horses, I did the same thing. Love the pastel ducks and highland cow.

Oh, I'm glad it wasn't just me - that's exactly what I saw, Susan.

These are all good and all so very different, Sandra. You've been a very busy bee. I particularly like your take on the snake weaving in and out of the chimney pot.
