I also did some super quick sketches of the portholland-cornwall and the cow scenes, but those were muddy blurs not worth posting!

I'll try to finish the horses & sunflowers later & may also reattempt the portholland-cornwall beach scene.

I'd love to see these 'unblurred' Marilou!
Can you scan instead of photo'ing them?

Thse horses look very lively and the colours on all are lovely!

Good quick sketches - you really captured the pastries with minimal linework.

Very good desserts. Brief strokes but effective. The horses are energetic too.

Maureen, I'll try to take better photos for the next group of pics! With a better cell phone (trial l phone replacement takes terrible pics, so back to my previous phone) & in better light.

Admittedly though, some of the smudge factor is the not so great paints since I was trying to use up old Reeves again, + my painting on a small scale as practice for the flower ATC project. My really loose style doesn't translate to tiny very well ;-> (I actually used a regular paintbrush this time instead of my usual waterbrush).

Instead of touching up the small watercolor sketch, I ended up painting the horses again in acrylic on 24x24" gessoed MDF board during my painting class (instead of starting a winter scene... I decided the horses were a lot more interesting! ;->).
