Hello from Oregon. I really have enjoyed and appreciated your instruction Johannes! Thank you so much.

I work in oil, pastel, pen & ink and pencil. I also have a pottery studio. I am trying to kick start my painting again after several years of being away from it, mostly due to medical issues. My last commission was done in oils, but I love working in pastel and I'm excited about next Saturday's class in pastel.

I'm looking forward to the homework assignment after today's lesson and seeing what others create also. I've never painted a waterfall...so it will be an interesting challenge. I hope to learn to loosen up my style. I also train horses and "harmony" is a major part of successful training.

I appreciate the way you credit and compliment the other professional artists Johanne. I am familiar with their work and I am so glad I found your site. Thank you for your generous gift of knowledge!

Hello "nicker312" and Welcome to WetCanvas! Glad you are enjoying your time with Johannes. You might want to place your thanks to Johannes in the Partner forum in the Learning Center (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=522)where he's most likely to be. Meanwhile also explore & enjoy the site.

It's a good idea to check out the Stickys & FAQ thread.

There is a link to Frequently Asked Questions in my signature line.

Also, you can check out the "Stickys" at the top of the page;
& check out the links in the Guides & Moderators signature lines.

I usually get to the forums using the drop down menu towards the
upper left of the page where it says Channels: then Choose: and when
I've chosen, I click on Go and a whole new wonderful forum opens up for you.

There is also a "Forum Jump" menu at the bottom right of the page.

Hi and a warm welcome to the Wet Canvas Community :wave:

This is a very large site with a lot going on in the forums. Be sure to check out the subject and medium forums as well as some of the special interest forums. There is something here for every artist and all levels of expertise. All are welcome, so don’t be shy about posting or starting threads.

A good place to start your WC! experience is to read some of the articles in the links found in the signature lines of some of the mods and guides - they contain some very useful information which will help you to navigate and participate in WC!

If you have any problems, just drop back here to New Users and we’ll be happy to help.

Have fun and enjoy Wet Canvas! :)
