I literally threw this one together today. I hate onions but I think they are interesting to look at. 20" X 20" acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas.

Well thanks so much for your comments. I am continuing the series of vegetables I hate with this one today....perhaps tomorrow - squash!

I like both these vegetable paintings. You have captured the delicacy of the onion and the vibrancy of the pepper very well. I wonder if the onion might stand out a bit better with a darker background? Just a suggestion.

Both look terrific!! Just me but I actually like the soft background with the onion, you translated that onion so well I think you tend to look at all the nuances a bit more because of it.
Highlights on the pepper is a :thumbsup:
