Sorry to be so late Connie and thank you for hosting. I chose the Mother and baby this week because the image really appealed to me and I have to get something started for a course I am starting next week. It is acrylic on canvas measuring 27 x 19 inches and I like where it is taking me. I hope I dont spoil it but all it is at the moment is blocked in tone and colour. It took maybe a bit more than 2 hours but not much.
I will be back later to comment, thanks for looking.
All C and c welcome.

WOW...I'm almost thinking you are done as is...the boy needs a wee bit here and there but mostly just his eyes....this is gorgeous!!

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. I fiddled with this for another couple of hours today and will call it finished for the purposes of WDE . I will be taking it to a course I am starting next week where the tutor wants to see recent unfinished work and will try to help you improve and develop your existing style. I am looking forward to it and I hope he can help me.
Anyway I am quite happy with what has happened so far and will leave it be till next week and see what happens.

I find your work very exciting Christine - I liked the first stage and would have been happy to leave it there!
It'll be interesting to see what a tutor suggests with this - please let us know!
Enjoy the course:D
