|Manet says "Renoir has no talent"|
Manet, enchanted by the color and the light, had decided to do an open-air painting of Monet and his family under some trees. While he was working, Renoir arrived on the scene and asked for a palette, a brush, and a canvas. He started painting right next to Manet.
Manet would watch Renoir out of the corner of his eye and from time to time approach the canvas. Then he passed discreetly close to Monet and whispered in his ear, pointing at Renoir: "That boy has no talent ... You're his friend, please tell him to give up painting!"
Wasn't that amusing of Manet!
