Areas to work on: It's advisable not to stick the most important star of your painting at the bottom. This will throw off the balance. You might want to check some other Art Critique Center in the WetCanvas! Learning Gallery, as I have made several comments on where to place the center of interest in a painting. Basically the rule is, take the vertical length and divide by three (Either from top to bottom or bottom to top) Now do the same thing horizontally. More or less in that area is where the main subject should be located. This is the most comfortable area for balance as well.
Additional comments: I strongly feel you have something going for you. There is definitely something very nice in your work! |
