The Learning Gallery: Pigeons

Strong Points:

  • You have a unique style of your own. I do believe galleries would be very interested!
  • Your color choice and harmony is outstanding.

The image to the left is an electronically enhanced copy, with the suggestions of the critique staff incorporated directly into the image.

Areas to work on:

It's advisable not to stick the most important star of your painting at the bottom. This will throw off the balance. You might want to check some other Art Critique Center in the WetCanvas! Learning Gallery, as I have made several comments on where to place the center of interest in a painting. Basically the rule is, take the vertical length and divide by three (Either from top to bottom or bottom to top) Now do the same thing horizontally. More or less in that area is where the main subject should be located. This is the most comfortable area for balance as well.

Look at my modification. I'm sure you will be pleased with it.

Additional comments:

I strongly feel you have something going for you. There is definitely something very nice in your work!
