Another favorite painting of mine is this Vermeer. I think by know you can easily see that these artists create very interesting shapes, colors and light in their corners. You might want to go back to the top and have a good look at the stunning Cezanne composition. I hope you enjoyed seeing composition in a fresh way. | Michael Newberry taught Life-Drawing, Composition, and Painting at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and while he lived in Greece he gave seminars for artists in conjunction with the Museum of Modern Greek Art and Athens College. Currently, he paints and gives art workshops out of his spacious loft in Williamsburg just a few minutes outside of Manhattan. His workshop is listed with Art Renewal Center’s Approved Ateliers, Schools, and Workshops. | |
