LeAnne Hess Belmont is a stay at home mother with a very energetic toddler. After taking art classes in high school, she neglected her art for years. Being at home has allowed her to pursue her art on a serious level.
LeAnne works primarily in colored pencil, graphite or pen & ink. For six years, she did formal "show" glassblowing demonstrations at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. These demonstrations included ornaments, mugs, vases, goblets, flasks, footed bowls, and beads. Even though she has a small hot studio set up in her house, she no longer works with hot glass, preferring to explore 2 dimensional media at this time. LeAnne credits WetCanvas! as one of the major motivating forces that inspired her new career. Currently, she serves as a guide, citing that it is one way that she can "give back" to a community that has done so much for her. Her member name is Elankat.
