"Creating a Signature Banner"

Author: hlee, Contributing Editor

Our last step would be to save the banner. Head over to File > Save (Ctrl+S).
Navigate the drives and folders to find the place where you want to save your new creation. At the top of the Save Image dialog, give your banner a name and end it with the file type extension, preferably .gif or .jpg. Select the corresponding file type from the dropdown list to bottom right. Save the image and voilą!

(Note: During saving, if GIMP warns jpg or gif can't handle transparency, choose Export and then click OK when another dialog comes up.) Again, upload your snappy new signature banner to WetCanvas by following the instructions at the bottom of page 2 and top of page 3 of this article.

(Please remember that the site's policy limits banners to a maximum size of 468x60 pixels. Signatures are also limited to having only 1 image, so you must re-work multiple images into 1 signature banner. Images may not contain nudity.

Signature lines may include up to 3 personal links. Additionally, you may also include links to features within WetCanvas! See here for more information regarding banners.)

Enjoy the vibrant touch to your signature!
