| Extra notes for the curious:
> Here we have two frames from our previous animation (the images are from layers 1 and 5, in that order.) You'll observe that it's missing a few frames in between. Obviously it the result won't be as smooth, but in some cases you can use the Motion Tween function to make the transition a little less jagged. The Motion Tween button is left of the Duplicate Frame button (the one with several little circles fading.) |

| Unchecking the Opacity box probably works better if all your images have a common background, i.e. all the layers above the first layer have a transparent background.
Leaving the Opacity box checked means you want the background to change from one frame to the next -- good for a kind of fade-in effect with two different images. Examples below: |
