Now we glue the cut out freeform, and emphasis is on using small amounts of glue. Then, turn the glued construction paper over and position it over the colored filter, lower and press down and smooth over with hand.
Now...though we already have an interesting display, we will emphasize cutting an outside "form" to add interest and design.

It helps to make sure the glue is dry at this point, or if time restrains you at least very near dry. Fold the construction paper, and we will make cuts around the outside perimeters of our design.

It is important to fold it back exactly on the original fold's crease.

Now, cutting around the outside, I follow along the shapes of the internal cuts, but every so often delineate with an outside freeform shape.

Here you see the cutting completed.

Now...we will open the project up, and point out to the children how that by turning it one way or another it can give a completely different feel as we shall see here. Same form, but a different aesthetic impression.
