| Its probably best for the adults to spray for smaller children as they tend to over spray and create pools of water. Otherwise, about 4 squirts of a decent mist (not stream) will do. Next, blot dry with another piece of copy paper on top, and then remove. |
![]() | As an alternative project for later on, you might want to save the print that comes from the filter sprayed on top of the copy paper, which is very colorful in its own right! For kindergardners a bit too young yet to cut, simply making the prints from the colored filter will capture their imagination. Perhaps, these could be imaginary planets far far away in the outer reaches of the universe! |
| I find the greatest problem with children is cutting beyond what will be the edges of the colored filter, so to prevent that from happening, use a crayon to trace the filter in the center of the construction paper. | ![]() |

| Take the traced filter now, and fold...being careful that when folded the diameter/radius of the circle matches. That is...fold across the actual center of the circle. |
