"Making Panels with Wallis Museum Paper"

I found that this is a simple way to make paper covered panels. The materials are easy to obtain. The process is not difficult or even messy.
One point to stress is that the paper is most likely not removable from the panel.
Another point for pastelists to note is that these panels will have to be framed differently and probably without matts. I use Frame-Tek plastic (the non-adhesive type) spacers sometimes on my regular paper only paintings and they work just fine.
Of course for Acrylics and Oils these panels are ideal plein air painting. I suppose the acid test would be to paint with oils on these panels in the rain. (use an exterior paint on the backs)

I hope that this article has been helpful and let us know what experiences you have when you give this a try.
