You have probably noticed that some members have the same information that always appears at the bottom of each of their posts. This option will allow you to craft a "signature" that reflects your personality and will appear on every post you make. You can simply sign your name, or you can put links to your website, quotes or slogans, thumbnail images of your work, and probably a lot of other things we haven’t thought of, as long as they comply with the guidelines listed below! You can also adjust the color, font, and size of the text in your signature using the options at the top of the box. You can bold-face, italicize or underline text. You can sprinkle “smilies” from the box at the right through your signature, too. Need some help with finding a suitable art-related quote? Try this website: art quotes. This is the website of Robert Genn, a WetCanvas! member. Thanks, Bob! Also, want help creating a banner of your artwork? Check out this article, Creating a Signature Banner. Remember that Signature Banners must be 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels high, maximum. You can only include 1 image in your signature line, and this image cannot be "clickable" and cannot contain nudity. You may also include up to a total of 3 personal links. In addition to these 3 personal links, you may also include links within the WetCanvas! Site. Font size for any types material cannot be larger than +2. Remember that signatures must comply with the terms of use in the Member Agreement. Here's a link to them in case you want to refer to the rules about signature blocks. Check with a moderator if you have questions about what to include in your signature. When you click on this link, it will take you to a screen that looks a lot like a regular reply window. In that window, you just need to type in the information you want to see in your signature. Then click “Save Signature” and your signature will be saved for use. Example of the screen: |

| Edit Profile:
By having your profile created and up to date, you can provide information about yourself and your art to your new friends at Wet Canvas. You can even find local friends by keeping your city and country listed. The choices are pretty self-explanatory once you get to this screen. Things you can do here to make your visible profile at WC! unique include listing the URL for your personal website or other places on the web where members can view your work, your instant messaging usernames for various proprietary systems (such as Yahoo or MSN messenger), your real name (strictly optional), hobbies and interests, and, of course, your nation’s flag. Be sure you click “Save Changes” before you leave this page. You can enter as much or as little information as you want (and it’s all entirely optional). The following image will give you an idea of the information you will find in this section: |

Edit Options By being able to edit your options, you can set up your view of Wet canvas so it will work best for both you and your computer. Some options take more time to run and load, and if you are on dial up – this can be a painful process. By editing your options, you can control WC on your end, without affecting the other users out there. I am going to do my best to break down each section of the options to give you as much information as possible about each section. |
| Login & Privacy
Within this area of the options, you can set how others are going to be able to see YOU. For example, if you use INVISIBLE MODE, your handle (WC! Username) will not appear in the list of “Currently Active Users”. If you allow vCard download, other users will be able to download a virtual index card of your information, including your email address and name. Some users use email programs that will allow them to store your info in their address books this way, but if you don’t want them to be able to, just leave the box unchecked. Wet canvas also has an awards system, where your participation can win you ribbons and medals (all virtual, of course). You have the option to opt-out of this program if you aren’t interested. The program doesn’t have any costs to you and it allows you to be able to vote for those members who provide excellent feedback and assistance to other members. Interested in learning more?
