| WC! is very proud to have its own award system, which grants participating members awards that signify their importance to our community! WC! in fact has over 50 different awards which any member can obtain, all ranging from easy-to-get participation badges to highly sought-after trophies. Every night the award system scans our database looking for people deserving of such awards, meaning that each and every day more and more people are obtaining these awards; you can get them, too!
The different kind of awards are granted according to levels of participation in certain areas, such as the project system or the reference library, or granted by voting members of the site. Everyone has the ability to vote for other members to get awards, and everyone has the ability to participate in forum activities to earn themselves awards. The awards earned can be seen in their user profile in their Shadowbox. This box is automatically updated as a user obtains more and more awards. |

| Awards come in 4 categories:
-Participation Badges -Ribbons -Medals -Trophies |
| Ribbons are fairly easy to obtain. These are offered to people who make significant contributions to the boards through our article publishing system, the art project system, as well as non-medium/subject forums like the cafe guerbois. |  |
| Medals are a bit more difficult to get. These show that the recipient has made a very substantial commitment to WC! People awarded these medals must show significant participation in the requisite areas. For example, for some medals people must not only show participation in certain forums, but they also must do other things, like use the publisher, the reference image library, the chat system, etc. |  |
