This was our simple invitation... gray-scale, reminiscent of charcoal, and double sided. Artwork by one of our artists, printed 3-up on A4 photo card. We all took on the job of distributing them, and the Gallery assisted by having them available at their counters and sending them out with their newsletters.
Here is a section of the Gallery showing the standard frames and the frieze below. Altogether we exhibited over 200 works. Our artists also displayed matted/shrink-wrapped works in the Gallery Shop, and many of these were sold.
A local MP (Member of Parliament) officiated and opened our show....it was a Sunday afternoon and about 200 guests attended. Each artist brought along a tray of food, and we provided wine and juice refreshments.

As guests arrived, they were treated to our Life Drawing demonstration which proved to be of great interest....we soon blocked out the crowd behind us as we drew and painted our model Karen. A very brave lady indeed!

Here is fellow Wet Canvas member Kymbo and his little son Zachari viewing Kym's Gallery demonstration painting. Note buckets of paint under his easel!

This was such a good experience for all the artists, and with very little cost to all concerned. In the beginning we created a 'jobs list', and each artist contributed so that no one person was responsible for doing all the work. Everyone worked so well together to make this the success it was.

We have booked the Gallery for our next Exhibition which will be in about one year's time.....unless there's another cancellation in the meantime.

Born in New Zealand, Pauline moved to Sydney, Australia where she worked as the Advertising Manager of a national retail chain. A relocation to Queensland meant that her long postponed passion for art could be given some attention, nurtured, and brought to life.
"I have many, many people to thank for encouraging me and assisting in my neverending quest to create one masterpiece during my lifetime.... one piece that may be considered special and everlasting! I'm having so much fun trying to achieve that."
