| We've made and painted another clock for my brother-in-law, this design had dolphins leaping out of water. We've painted a plaque for a friend of my brother-in-law and that had the dolphin design. We painted three wooden spoons for my mum with Roses on the spoon's bowel.
We are in the middle of drawing up plans for some cupboards to be made for the house, one is a kitchen cupboard, two clothes cupboards for our kids. I am starting to design some simple odds & bods to make and paint for craft fairs. |

My wife and I have no formal training in the art world but we have enjoyed learning and exploring the art world on our own. I've been a model for an art school, and helped a sculptor friend of mine a few years ago. My wife is a gardener but gave it up due to ill health. We've taken on the hobby of making and painting furniture for our own needs, and will paint furniture for others on a fee basis.
I've started painting in oils, and we both are doing home study courses. My wife is doing a drawing and painting course, and I will be doing a course on decorative paint effects in the near future. We think that our future is in the art and crafts world because we enjoy working with our hands and creating beautiful things for our home. Happy is the person that can enjoy each days work. |
