Georgia, USA On February 23, 2003 I was on the road so I had many opportunities to stop along the way and take photos. The wonderful thing about this day is I had my mother with me. We don't often have the chance to be together for more than an hour or so and it did feel good to have her with me. Sometimes I think my life gets really busy with "things" and I forget what is most important in life and that is to enjoy each day for what it brings and surround yourself with loved ones and peace. As I arrived at St. Simons Island, Georgia, this pelican seemed to greet me with his layed back attitude. Considering what I had to do to get this shot, I think it best says what my February 23rd was all about... Take chances, reach beyond what you think you can do, enjoy each moment and learn from your mistakes. |  |

Here are the words:- February 23 turned out damp and misty for me here in Devon so we jumped in the car and drove to St Austel in Cornwall to visit the famous Eden Project.... two enormous Biomes which house plants from all over the world. I found so much to inspire me it was difficult to decide on a shot. I chose this one because it epitimises this time of year for me. New life........new beginnings......optimism. |

| I was overwhelmed by the response to this project. It was enjoyable seeing everyone's view of the world on the same day. We had a very good representation of many parts of the world.
I think it may be a good idea to make this an annual event. Again many thanks to everyone who participated. |
