"Stage Your Still Life Painting"

Now you are ready to set your objects on the stage you've prepared.

As you place them, check the angles created by the objects and the way the shadows fall.

Keep moving things around on the stage.

You can carefully move the box, open or close the window, raise the top, or open out the sides of the box to give more light and space.

I have placed a bowl of flowers in the box.

This photo shows how it looks with light entering through the box window.

Here's another view of the flowers.

I turned the bowl a little bit to get a different angle.

I also turned the box a little bit so the light enters from the front and also through the box window.

I closed the window and turned the box so that light enters more from the front.

Notice the angle of the shadow on the floor of the box.

Here's another flower with light coming through the window.
