"Plein Air Painting - In or Out?"

Author: L._Diane_Johnson, Contributing Editor

When I steped back to check the painting I noticed that the curtains matched the painting!

Here is the completed painting ready to roll into my traveling tube. The pre-primed linen was and taped to masonite. I tape as many as three canvas' at a time to different sized boards for ease in painting in the field. The masonite itself is primed and ready to use as well.

Back in the studio I restretched the piece onto bars. View the finished, varnished & framed painting of "From My Window".

Now you decide -- is this a plein air, or studio painting?

Wishing you great painting wherever you may be!
Diane
