| Mix up a green using french ultramarine and lemon yellow and we will also use some burnt umber. Paint in the shrub and the wind beaten tree. To get the fine crooked branches use a rigger brush. Hold it at the end of the handle and paint in the branches, you will find the brush dances across the paper in a wobbley way and will produce branches with a natural look. Practice on a piece of scrap paper first. |

| First ,using some burnt umber, paint a mooring post. The boat was painted using light red for the bottom and a grey mix for the top. A rigger brush is used to paint the rope from the post along the sand to the bow of the dingy. For realism a few strands of seaweed were also added hanging from the rope using the rigger brush. Mix a dark green using french ultramarine / lemon yellow and add some tufts of grass. Add rocks and stones along the beach with a mix of french ultramarine and burnt umber. A few seagulls were also added using the grey mix, keep the shape very simple but vary the size of each one. |
