| We also need a mix of ultramarine with a touch of light red for the water.
First wet the lake area with clear water. While this area is still wet, using our mixes of paint duplicate the colours and shapes of the trees and shrubs as a mirror image. Use a small brush as it will be easier to control the shapes. Get all the basic colours in and then allow the paper to dry completely. Re-wet the area and apply some more colour to strengthen, this proceedure can be repeated as long as the paper is allowed to dry completely in between each application. Completeing in several small stages does make it much easier. At the last stage apply the blue to give the water some sky reflection. Now allow the paper to completely dry and then remove the remaining frisket by rubbing with your finger or a putty eraser. The final touches, Using Raw Sienna paint in the mountain peak reflections ,and also paint the boats hull's. |
