"A Lovely Cat called Pudney James"

Author: Rod_Webb, Contributing Editor

The face still looks flat.
To rectify add a shadow on the sun side of the nose using a weak raw sienna mix,
on the left side use weak blue/grey.

Also add the little marks where the whiskers stem from, add the eye slits in black.
Also add a line around the eye shape.
When dry rub off the masking fluid to show the white paper for the whiskers.
To produce the right side whiskers across the foliage, carefully scratch fine lines through the paint to reveal the white paper using a sharp tipped hobby knife.

I also added short strokes of raw sienna across small areas of the front body to represent the sun catching the fur.

Finally redefine the tail using black paint as shown in the last image.
The finished Portrait of Pudney James.

Hope you enjoyed following along,

Happy painting, Rod :)
