"Abstract Watercolor With a Twist"

The area on the right that I masked above started to unfold. I saw two faces in the area, and I took time to mask them off from each other just a bit to bring out the detail.
This shot shows how far I have taken the piece at this time.
Before I began picking out detail in this area I did a bit of wash over certain areas in hopes that another figure would pop out to me.Once the wash dried I found what I was looking for, another face to add to the crowd.
I am to a point that I will be adding the finishing touches with stippling and line work. It is important to me to not overwork abstracts like this. The textures from the plastic is as interesting as the detail laid in.
Several more hours of stippling and working the images has finally brought me to the finish of this piece. All in all 100+ hours have gone into creating this image. The work is time consuming, but the results are what I keep my eye on. It has been an enjoyable project.
