Hello everyone! Apologies for a very abbreviated edition of Wet Paint, but I wanted to take a moment to sahre with you the latest buzz here at WetCanvas! What a month. November saw the opening of three major new services and the further positioning of WetCanvas! as THE online source for visual artists and collectors. As usual, before we get into this month's rants and raves, it's time to dig into the WetCanvas! mail bag:
Jason, Portland, Oregon Jason, thanks much for the kind words. WetCanvas! strives daily to provide quality art education to the masses, and as I've said a million times, we rely on emails like yours to remind us that we are right on target. :-) Okay, now on to this week's series of incoherent babblings, rants, and raves by the editor! |

| November, 1999 was perhaps the single, busiest month of my life! In one month, we were able to launch three exciting new services, in addition to the normal monthly round of articles, lessons, and critiques.
WetCanvas! Auction System We made it easy to get rid of unwanted art supplies, books, and videos by opening the WetCanvas! auction system. Now, you can find a deal on an easel, or clean out your bookshelf, all free of charge (unlike other auction places, which charge you a fee for selling). ArtistNation.com We made it easy for artists to create their own web sites with our opening of ArtistNation.com, a web hosting service. Within just a few minutes, you can create a new account, and build your own art-related web site. Our powerful virtual gallery manager system will allow you to upload and categorize your art into "virtual exhibits". Pierre Labeau has added a super-nice online "webschool", where you can learn all about publishing pages on the web. Oh, and all of this is free of charge, too. Wow. Art-Agent.com And finally, our opening this month of Art-Agent.com provides a commercial outlet for all of that art stored in ArtistNation.com! That's right - your art will be marketed directly to a private network of galleries, interior decorators, and collectors, as well as to the general public. Not a bad deal, indeed. As you can see, there wasn't much time for Turkey this month. I have this strange feeling that I'll be missing Santa Claus, too. ;-) However, in the end, I'm sure that you will agree that WetCanvas! has grown to be one of the most popular artistic destinations on the Internet. By the way, you should see what we have in store next. :-) Until next time, keep your carpet covered with a .79 cent drop cloth, and happy brushstrokes!
